Indian spices



As like the Indian people, Indian spices are also colorful and diverse. Different spices used in the Indian cuisine tempt the food lovers to the delicious food. Indian spices offer great nutritional and health benefits. Most commonly used spices are mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, chilies, red chili powder, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, asofoetida, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, etc.      
India is a land of different cultures and food styles. Wheat, rice, or a combination of wheat or rice is the Indian staple food. The Indian spices can be used as a whole or powdered form.  Indian food assures the aroma of different spices and delicious dishes for the food lovers. Every cooking style has its own favorite spices. People in south India use tamarind, coconut, mustard seeds, curry-leaves, and red chilies, while North Indians do not use coconut so often.
Indian cooking is an art more than a science. Spices are the most important ingredients used in Indian cuisine. Without spices, Indian cuisine would be an ordinary cuisine. Spices have made the Indian food immensely popular in every part of the world. Different spices can be used as an experiment to experience a new taste. In the 15th century different explorers have traveled to India in search of Indian spices. Now, Indian spices are easily available in every corner of the world. Indian food lovers can use these spices to create delicious meals and add a spice to their life.
