Traditional Mexican spices


Spices and herbs are consumed in several different recipes all around the world. Generally, colorful and flavorful recipes are more popular among the food lovers. Mexican spices and herbs are used to add unique flavors and mouth-watering aromas to the recipes.  
Mostly, different types of Mexican spices and herbs are used in traditional and modern Mexican recipes. Chilies are available in wide ranges of sizes, types and heat levels. They are added to the recipes for creating a flavorful and tasty snack or meal. Different chilies can be added for creating different flavors but excess use of chilies can spoil the meal. The seeds and stems are the hottest part of the chili peppers. The smaller sized chili peppers are hotter as compared to bigger sized chili peppers.  It is recommended to use gloves while preparing chilies for any food to prevent any accidental burning.   
Chili powder is a red pepper used for seasoning Mexican recipes. It is used for preparing several different Mexican dishes. Even, it can be used to sprinkle in hot cocoa to make it little delicious and spicy. Mint is used for making different kind of soups, meatballs and bean dishes. Nutmeg is used for making different kinds of desserts and tasty beverages.  It adds a spicy and unique flavor to the recipes. Thyme is a Mexican herb that is used for making soups, sauces as it offers a pungent and a pungent and dry aroma and flavor.  Various Mexican spices can be used in the recipes to make it more tasty and unique.
